I went with sean to DCAC yesterday, And we saw the jumboslice being made. If you want the biggest slice of pizza ever go to adams morgan. I love the way that that area is growing. There really is some good gentrification happening. I am looking right now for a trendy area to visit in L.A. like Adams Morgan. I don't think their are trendy people in L.A. Probly won't have much time in the town anyways. I am going to take lots of photos while I'm there. Well that was just a short post for now. I can't wait till Nadja gets back. P.S. last night Wash Improv theatre made a blog and so du ku reference. I love this town. -J post a comment
Saturday Stevie, Nadja, And Me went to Georgetown. I miss my city so much some times. It's diffent going to work in D.C. and going for fun. So many new things are poping up. There's a new vintage clothes store there thats has a 50% off rack. Very cool. Also smash, my favorite punk shoppe, has a new 49cents C.D. stack chalked full of D.C. Indie goodness. Which has given me the idea that It might be time to dable in the ways of a podcast. I know that in the past I have slamed Podcasts for being irrelevent and that no one wants to listen to amutuer radio hosts. But I have a new found love for them as I work At Si and these podcasts keep me entertained. Granted most of the podcasts I love are from former TechTV persona. I still love the idea of being on the radio. The Plan: I want to produce a D.C. area podcast. Strangly enough none exist. None that I find good at least. It would feature local area music, and advice on hot spots. I know that I am not the diffinitve source for whats hot in D.C. but I could quickly pick up on the pulse. Also I think there is a large audience for a 30 minute Indy D.C. podcast. Well maybe it's just me. I think i might reserve D.C. Indy podcast on blogger just to make sure. I still have to mix down the music that I recorded with ramshakle smile. But I don't have to be done untill thursday when sean gets back. It's been really good to spend all this time with nadja. I fell really good right now. I'm getting excited about going to LA in a week. I can't wait for all the pictures I'm going to put up at least 20. Well I don't know what else to say except this is an exciting time ahead. Adam Curry taking vacation is a good thing. It alows for others to take the spotlight. Yahoo has such an ugly layout. Well have a nice day. Stay tuned for a new podcast maybe. Bye. -J post a comment
Again I've given my reason why I don't see a reason to work faster to update my blog. Things just don't have that much happening. I'm going to california on the 15th which will be cool. Yesterday I went to my friend Stevie's step-mothers resturant. It was awesome. It's Bob Kinkead's Colvin Run Tavern. I had the vegitbal soup, chicken salad, and sour cherry chreme brulee. Excellent choice of dining. Also Ramshakle Smile recorded three new songs which I still have to mix. I think I'm going to leave that for tonight when I come home early because I have work tomarrow. Which I only have four more days of. Speaking of the summer going by faster than usual. I took my senior pictures last thursday, very awesome. Apple has released it's new multi button mouse. I'm excited but not in a rush to get a new mouse, i already an old mouse. Ron & Fez have switched to XM radio as of Sept. 12. I think is a good idea for them, they'll reach a way bigger audience now with their fantastic humor. I just wish they would release a 30 minute teaser every day of that days show. It would get them way more users. I'll stick to my great podcasts. Well thats really all I want to type today, I'm gonna go get ready and start walking. Till next time, keep posting. -J post a comment
I was featured on DCist today, that was pretty cool. Also today Nadja finally got to watch the original Charley and the Chocolate Factory movie. I love that film. I love my new camera so much. So tomarrow I have my drawing class. I might not stay at Seans painting class. Seans going to be working any ways. I'll see. I really need a haircut. Thurday I'm getting my senior photos taken. That means I'll be working Tuesday to make up for time lost. Also just to comment: Go see my blog post about islamist extremist at the begining of july about the current events of the weekend. I am so upset that people still have not caught up with the times. -j post a comment
Nothing much is happening at work. I just got an e-mail about a really cool service that we will be adding at the SI. It's called WiVID, it's going to change the way you visit the SI. For example If you want to know more about a certain exhibit you simply just click on it's icon on the screen, it's going to be awesome. Well today I'm going to experience some more blogger type activities. When I get back I try a better blog post. post a comment
That's my cake and yesterday was my birthday. It was awesome Jon, Stevie, Sean, and Nadja were all there. It was awesome. We watched some really cool shows. We ate some really awesome food. On my plate I had herbed chicken, monteray steak, country green beans, patato salad, italian salad, italian herbed tomatos, and much much more. I've never eaten so much in my life and so well. I am so full. I know it's been a long time since I blogged I'm sorry. Yesterday was also a sad day. London was attacked for it's involvement with the U.S. in Iraq, among other things that it could be condemed with by being an Allie with the U.S. I just want to say that I think it's cowardess to attack civilians to get your idea across. Nothing can be accomplised throung violence. Never the less this attack will only fuel the tension between the muslium world and the democractic world. Both sides on this issue are becoming polarized. Both sides must step back and analysis more deeply there ideas. What exactly are we fighting for. In America it's are way of life. Our ability to live out our free lives without fear from religious idealogs. The Musliums are fighting for their way of life. They belive that American way of life goes against the teachings of the Koran. But like how Christian fudimentalists take things in the bible to literally, muslims are miss reading the Koran. Well work has been going well and life is good for me. I might be getting a new digital camera soon. I am very excited. Also might get a VR2940 DVD recorder, that way I can take the shows from my dvr to dvd. Apple should be coming out the the new phone today. Also google realeased the new toolbar for firefox, which is stupid because firefox has a google searchbar. They main reason I haven't blogged in a while is because I've been experiencing the great world of podcasting. I've listened to some really great podcasts I love it. Also itunes takes video podcasting to a whole new level. Vlogs can truly thrive on Itunes. This is truly and exciting and frightening world we are living in. Hopefully it will all work out for the better. -j post a comment
Hello world. Here's Your Update.
Saturday I went to Seans and recorded some music. The set-up we have really works great now. Its really cool. I'll try to light it nicely so I can take a picture or better yet i'll make a sketch and scan it. Sunday I watched City of Gods which was a great foreign independent film. Brazil is a pretty awesome place to live, makes me want to be a photo jounrnalist. Also My flickr swag is here. Very cool. I've been updating flickr so often I love it. Tomarrow I'll have pics from downtown. I might go to the hishhorn to see visual music, otherwise I may never. I'll try to bring my camera so you can see it. _j post a comment
-Today I helped my mother clean her room and I am going to Seans BBQ, it's his dads Birthday. Reminds me I did not get him a present, crap. Also I need to pick up fruit. Recently today i posted a pic of nadja that got over 27 hits in a hour. Those are some creepy people. I just e-mailed Bridgette back about the volunteer orintation on Monday at 9:30. -Yesterday was the Last day of school. I went to class and finnished my final exam in geometry, no more math for a very long time now. Yesterday I jumped into a kiddy pool that I have posted pictures on my flickr about. I ate a free b/w cookie thanks to stevie and watched the machinist, very over rated and minimalist. Speaking of minimalist the visual arts expo opened at the Hirsshorn. Last Night watched a frontline episode about contract defense security agents in Iraq. Contractors run the rebuilding process in Iraq now. It's such a logistical nightmare that they had to contract out the work of orginzing the whole effort, catch-22. -Wendsday I meet with my new boss at the Arts & Industries building. Very intresting work I'll be doing. I will be probly reorganizing old books, some of which were once Tomas Edisons, very cool. Also she told me she could move me into something with film after I'm done with that, I meet with her next Wendsday at 9:30. I get the idea that people arrive to work at the SI at that time. -Tuesday, my weekend retreat, my siminar, everything is falling apart. -So now I am great and finally working toward my goals. -Peace _J post a comment
Global Warming An Abstract Our presentation as a final exam was on the topic of global warming. As part of the final exam it was our assignment to research & present a report on this topic. We have completed this assignment and have developed many conclusions on the global warming. Our research has shown that to every theory there are many sides to the issue, and a topic as controversial as global warming is a prime example. We have seen such extremes as some believing that global warming does not exist, to others who think it is in effect now on a catastrophic level. In conclusion we have decided that global warming is a real threat but the future effects are still debatable. In the last 100 years humans have impacted the natural green house effect of the planet. What is unsure is how the planet will react to this. Current research shows that at our current level we will adversely affect the planet soon in the next 50 years. The problem with this statement is that we are currently changing our habits and the trends look to be less gloomy. It is because researchers and scientists have raised flags early on we have been able to make the switch to a more viable energy solution than fossil fuels. Current economic conditions in the world are reinforcing the switch. As gasoline prices rise so do consumers interest in ecologically smart automobiles. So in conclusion: current economic conditions will lead to the abandonment of carbon-based fuels that escalate the global warming effect. Researching a topic as controversial as global warming has taught us that researchers must look at a variety of viewpoints before forming a conclusion. It was quite easy to get caught up in the vision that some of the “scientists” were promoting. We believe that it is important, however, for one to review both the economic and scientific data at hand before making any decision. It is after all our economic success that gives scientists the ability to research such a difficult theory as global warming. In the end we believe that our report is one of the most comprehensive, and most importantly non-bias reports on global warming to date. post a comment
Right now I am most excited about NetNewsWire, a rss feed reader with Podcasting capabilities. I am much more in tune with my abilites to RSS and Podcast news. I like it because I can read about things that have just happend and are new. Also In the world of radio is NPR. Just as Congress is suggesting a budget cut for CPB (corp. for Pub. casting) I am finding it very usful and entertaing for my friends. On thurday night Bloc Party played at the 9:30 club in D.C. Which is very awesome. And like NPR has been doing on the show All Songs Considered they have recorded the show live along with some cool interviews. Thank god NPr notices what good trendy bands come to D.C. Not only can you stream this content but also it can be downloaded as an MP3 and put on your IPod. The future is Podcasting live concerts, very cool. No I never need to go to a live show. I wonder how much it sucks to live in a rule of sucky suban area of the world. I love D.C.! Left todo today is to write a 300 word Abstract on Global Warming- More sources for my presentaion in Geosystems- and study for my History Final Exam. Wow. I hope I can handle it all. Tuesday is a short day So I hope I can find myself at the TFac getting my supplies list and know what bridettes doing. Tuesday is also the vernal eqinox-Longest DAy of the Year!- and wendsday I have a short day right up to Thursday My Geometry Final-THE LAST DAY OF SCHOOL!- Also opening that day is Visual Art at the Hirshorn. Awesome. Friday=total partying. This summer is going to Rock. -J post a comment

Awesome I must say. Except I can't seem to make any money. Thanks Ok I'll Just cheat. Memo:Go back and play games that you once that were hard to play, there not anymore. Very cool. Left this week are some more tests and what not. I have a research topic finnaly: Global Warming. Very diverse information availible. I must use my skill to muckrack through the trash on the web. Back Track: Last night I went to the boundry lines preliminary meeting at school. Talk about parents being irriate at the idea of their kids not going to WSHS. Truth: Stop wasting your tax dollers building on old schools and allow the board to redistrict the county. Suck It Up, Get a Tutor, Force the County to make your neiborhood have a nice school. Well it doesn't matter because it all comes to the property values, oh well. Can't wait to see what peoples reaction will be to my opinion, hoping to publish in oracle. Have a good day. And remember to fallow the all mighty dollar in any conflict. Bye. -J post a comment
